Coaching cases

Designer will be notified about the coaching Via salesforce tag and the vcs-design-qa slack channel
• Coaching cases should be prioritized over any other priority.
1- Proceed with the coaching:
i. Follow the instruction sent by the QA squad in the coaching section note in salesforce to ix the work and make the updates.
ii. Once done; verify your work and move the case to completed.
2- More Details/new artwork are needed:
i. Case status will be updated again to design incomplete by our QA squad
ii. a communication should be send to the Sales rep requesting the missing info/new attachment..
• Request details such as file resolution, features requested, attachments, confusing instructions etc… should be verified and communicated
with the sales rep before proceeding the request and moving the case to QA.

Our Guidelines

Customer experience

Template not loading

We need to make sure we regularly check the templates to avoid having the following issues:
> SKU compatible to the market
> Example CA SKU is used on a US Store
> ASO SKU issue (making sure the product is orderable)

Overlaping fields

Check the alignment and placement of fields within templates to ensure they do not overlap with each other.
Adjust the size and placement of fields as needed to correct overlapping issues.

Alignment and layout

Check that all elements within templates are aligned correctly, including text, images, and fields
Ensure that fields have enough space to display content clearly and legibly
When changing/adding an attribute to a product, ensure to keep the same layout

Fonts and colors

Ensure that font styles and sizes are consistent throughout templates
Make sure to use the partner font, if it’s not available on Proshop Use a similar one and advise the customer to upload his own font and mention the font name

Print Issue

Spot Colors​

Make sure your file only contains process colors. You can remove the spot colors using Adobe Acrobat Pro

Bleed

Ensure the design background is properly extended to the full bleed and all design elements (text, logo, icons) should be within the margins/safety line
Avoid expanding the whole file to the edge and adjust the file in Illustrator/Photoshop instead to prevent a layout change

Low quality

Check that all images, graphics, and text are of high resolution. Ideally vector files or images with +300dpi work fine.
Advise the Sales Rep/partner to provide a high-resolution artwork
In case the customer doesn’t have a better quality file, a design services can be suggested
It’s better that we use Adobe Illustrator/photoshop when making edits on files

White background

Remove white background on the Apparel/Promotional Products

Folded lines

For folded products (brochures, note cards .. etc), ensure that the design is well placed in the different product panels

Orientation

Use the proper orientation for the SKUs containing vertical and horizontal ones

Template Setup

SKU/Product

Assign the right SKU to the template as required by the partner. This helps ensure that the customer receives the desired product

It’s important to respect partner instructions with restriction to help protect their brand and requirements
